We are a small group of dedicated, state certified appraisers. We pride ourselves on our professional qualifications, experience and ethical responsibility. Real estate appraisal and consulting is our sole focus, and our local experience gives us a unique perspective on our valley, its variety of properties, and the diverse and complicated ownership issues that are inherent to resort town living.

Ski Town Appraisal was founded in 2004, since that time our team has written well over 10,000 appraisals for this local market. Because we specialize in the valley, its highly likely one of us is familiar with your property, or the one you are considering.

Below is a bit of information about who we are, what we enjoy and why we love what we do (both in and out of work).

Billy Dalzell, Certified Residential Appraiser, Father, Husband, Skier

Billy grew up an active, adventuresome & scrawny boy on the south shore of Massachusetts. Though much of his time was spent crafting is passion for the slopes in Sunday River, ME. Billy did manage to complete a BS in Business Administration at the University of New Hampshire which, coincidentally, enabled him to pop up to Sunday River on a regular basis. Many icy, windy and cold days on the hill, as well as a fair bit of traveling convinced Billy to settle in Steamboat Springs, CO. back when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth. It was here that Billy's dreams of becoming a certified appraiser were born. He begrudgingly left his illustrious career as a boot fitter to become an appraiser apprentice and thus began his professional career, completing his Appraisal Principles and Advanced Applications degree from the University of Colorado in 1999. In 2002 billy became a Co Owner and Operator at Steamboat Appraisal and in 2004 he Joined with Mike to co found and own Ski Town Appraisal. Billy is dedicated to becoming the best he can be which includes extensive continuing education and over 20 years of full time appraisal experience.

Mike dinapoli, Certified Residential Appraiser, Father, Husband, Golfer

Mike grew up in small town of Springfield Pennsylvania, honing his passion for skiing at his own families ski hill, where he spent countless hours both learning to carve turns and repairing aging lifts alongside his dad. After graduating with Business Administration degree from Widener University, Mike spent time on the beaches of New Jersey before fulfilling his lifelong dream of moving west. After working alongside Billy in Routt County for several years, Mike's love of the majestic beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley, called him to work for Western Slope Appraisal for the better part of five years. Mike now enjoys spending time in both Routt and Pitkin Counties and has become an experienced residential resort appraiser in both the Aspen and Steamboat Springs marketss. Mike has been appraising full time for almost twenty years, and his range of experience is vast, including smaller deed restricted homes up to expansive, luxury properties.
